ANNECY, France, Sept 21 (Reuters) - EU ministers will get the chance later this month to present a 'shopping list' of key priorities for agriculture policy reform before a compromise deal is drafted for October, the EU's farm chief said on sunday.
Under discussion is a blueprint for changes to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) that targets wealthy farmers by cutting subsidies by income bracket and channelling the saved cash into schemes to protect and enhance the countryside.
The idea is to strike a final deal on what is known as the 'health check' of the CAP at a ministerial meeting in mid-November
