'The Waccamaw River has probably got a bigger share of osprey than anywhere in Georgetown County. You see one nest right after the other, especially coming down from The Reserve [at Litchfield Beach] to Winyah Bay.'
Bald eagles can be spotted at times along the entire Waterway from Brunswick County through Georgetown County, but there is a particularly heavy presence of them along the section that runs from Winyah Bay to the Santee River Delta in southern Georgetown County.
